Who will you have perform at the special event?

Amazing Dana Magic Shows
Camps and after school programs
You have a lot of children and you need a special program. You're searching for a terrific idea. Something they'll love and learn something from. It's time for a magic show!
I've performed my show at hundreds of camps, after school programs and community events over the last 20 years. The kids love it! Plus I teach them how to be a magician themselves.

It's time for that holiday event

December is a busy time for magicians. 75% of them family events. The rest corporate parties. Time to do something for the employee's who have worked so hard this year. Magic is great for engaging everyone in mysterious fun.

Family show has Christmas theme

I have a new trick where a child needs a Santa hat. We find lot's of hats and they are all wrong. Finally and magically Santa's hat appears.
Here is a video of a recent show!

Adult Show has new trick
School Assembly The floating Zombie ball is magic classic. I've brought it back into the show with a comedy twist. You'll laugh out loud as you wonder how it is done.

I combine the classics of magic with my own signature illusions. I include mentalism. The reading of the mind. Add audience participation and you've got a great addition to your party.

I had a wonderful summer at the libraries of Southern California

Here's a video of the famous Miser's Dream money trick. I went to over 25 libraries and followed the "Creativity" theme for reading this summer. Children love magic and I got the message across that reading makes you creative.

Seniors, a great audience.

I have been performing for seniors since I was a young man. Senior centers, retirement communities and clubs always are looking for entertainment. Now that I finally qualify for the senior discount at Denny's I'm still doing shows for them. Yesterday I entertained at the College Avenue Older Adult Center. Terrific enthusiasm from them and we had a great time. Wonderful interactions. I call them the "chronologically gifted" or "mature adults." That's good for a laugh. I had an assistant, Herb, who was very smart. I asked him if he was a "rocket scientist" and he said "no, a nuclear physicist." That's the kind of people that make my work interesting.

Summer reading programs

I've been performing professionally for 20 years. But I have performed in a library for a long as I've done magic shows. Over 45 years! I love the library and librarian's. We didn't have a lot of money when I began doing tricks at the age of eight. So off to the library to get a magic book. It all started there.

I've just started the annual reading programs. I'll do about 25 libraries this summer. They always have a theme. "Get Creative" is this years focus. No better place to start getting creative and solving a problem than in a book. I've added some new tricks to send that message.

I hope to see you at the library.

It's a birthday party.

Nearly half of my magic shows are birthday parties. Parents want to do something special for their child. It's a gift to magicians.

Surprisingly a large percentage of magicians don't like performing for children. I don't know if they don't like kids. Find that a audience that talks back annoying. Don't know how to control them. Maybe all three reasons. I don't have that problem. I have performed for children for so long that I never knew any different. I like kids and they like me.

Yesterday I perform a show for Angela who is turned 9 and her friends. They were a terrific audience. She floated in the air at the end of the show. It was a wonderful time. We all had a blast.

Performing in Spanish

Spanish is my lifelong hobby. I have a separate blog about learning a Spanish Phrase everyday. I grew up 15 miles east of Los Angeles in El Monte. I was surround by Spanish speakers. I had read books about people who were multilingual and traveled the world. I was fascinated. I learned some German when I was stationed there in the Army in the early 1970's and continued my study of Spanish when I returned. So it is natural to perform in the language. There is also a big need. Huge amounts of preschoolers and K-5 students are learning English in our schools but I have performed many shows in both languages to get the message across. Last week I did a show mostly in Spanish for Kennedy Gardens schoool in Calexico. It is always appreciated. English is the most important language in our country but learning a second language is powerful. What is your hobby and how do you integrate it into your life?
